While coaching can be therapeutic and addresses similar areas of personal growth, it is not the same as therapy. Coaching is designed to help individuals navigate life’s challenges…whether that’s managing transitions, improving relationships, advancing in their careers, making key decisions, or enhancing their relationship with themselves. Coaches work with clients to set and achieve personal goals, overcome obstacles, and lead more fulfilling lives.
However, coaching is not appropriate for individuals dealing with serious mental health conditions that require a doctor or licensed therapist. For these issues, therapy is the recommended approach, as it offers specialized care and interventions tailored to addressing mental health challenges.

Coaching sessions are most productive when you come with a specific area where you’d like support. Here are some examples of topics you might bring to coaching:
Coaching is a journey of internal growth, change, and transformation. The time it takes to see results varies depending on your readiness and the scope of your goals. Each session provides insights that lead to action, so you may experience shifts after just one session, while larger goals may take more time.
I recommend committing to at least three months of coaching, with sessions once per week. Some clients find they’re ready to conclude after this period, while others choose to continue benefiting from coaching over the long term.
Mentoring involves a more experienced individual offering guidance and advice to someone less experienced, often focusing on career development and skill-building. A mentor shares knowledge, provides direction, and supports the mentee’s growth through their own expertise.
Coaching, on the other hand, emphasizes self-discovery, goal achievement, and personal growth. Through skillful questioning, support, and accountability, a coach helps clients unlock their own potential. Coaching is a collaborative relationship where power is shared, rather than held by the coach. Coaches encourage clients to stretch their perspectives and challenge themselves, but they don’t give advice. In coaching, we believe that you are the expert on yourself and have the inner resources needed to achieve your goals.
While nutritionists and personal trainers focus on specialized areas of health…such as diet or physical fitness…a health coach takes a holistic approach, addressing multiple aspects of well-being. Health coaches primarily focus on helping clients with behavior change, goal setting, and providing ongoing support and accountability. They often collaborate with nutritionists, personal trainers, and other experts to ensure a comprehensive approach to health and wellness.
In a coaching session, you’ll experience a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore your goals, challenges, progress, and strategies for success. I will listen attentively, ask insightful questions, provide constructive feedback, and offer personalized, evidence-based guidance to help you move forward.
